THE OVRLND DIFFERENCE

SUPERLIGHT, HAND MADE CAMPERS BUILT FOR YEARS OF ABUSE.

  • BUILT BY THE PEOPLE WHO USE THEM

We cut the aluminum, weld the frames, sew the canvas. We build campers we actually use, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

  • PROUD OF THE DETAILS OTHERS SKIP

Lightest on the market. Industry leading space to weight ratio. More options than anyone. Non-proprietary parts you can fix yourself. Not selling points... it's just how we think it should be done.

  • PROUD OF WHAT LEAVES OUR SHOP

Every camper earns its way out the door. Quiet at 60 mph. Bone-dry in a monsoon. Designed and constructed like million mile semi trailers. We stand behind every cut, weld, stitch, rivet, and component.

CABOVER HEIGHT

Our standard is 8", but you can upgrade to 10" or 11" for more standing height, sitting height when in bed, and bedding storage. Keep your mattress, pillows, quilts, and more in the cabover when the roof is closed. We are the only company that gives you the option to adjust the height of the cabover.

WINDOWS/HATCHES

Windows and hatches can go almost anywhere! We offer sliders, swing-outs, and solid metal flip hatches. Grab gear or just give the dog some air!

BARN DOORS

Optional Barn Doors are rad! They swing open and away, making entry a breeze (and giving you a spot to hang stuff!). If you want, make them asymmetrical so they'll fit your needs just right.

SUPERLIGHT CONSTRUCTION

As far as we can tell, our campers are the lightest on the market! This means less wear and tear to your truck, better handling, and less of an impact on your MPG. Built tough with hand-welded construction (like semi-trailers!), they will last as long as you camp. We also use as many non-proprietary parts as possible because your independence matters! These campers are fundamentally designed for repairability and DIY friendliness. If we were to close our doors or discontinue the model, you wouldn't be left searching for that one weird, company-specific part.

ALUMINUM ROOF

Our aluminum roof will probably last forever! Unlike competitors' composite panels (which degrade from UV and need replacing), ours is maintenance-free. It will last as long as the camper does!

PVC CANVAS

We've all had that expensive, light, "breathable" raincoat that isn't actually waterproof. That’s the fabric most competitors use.

Our canvas is PVC-coated polyester! It's a durable, mildew-protected, and rubberized to keep you completely dry! It’s wildly strong, built to last a really long time, and simple to patch if your dog gets too excited.

FLAPLESS CANVAS

Canvas tensioning keeps things quiet, even in 60+ mph winds (seriously, read the reviews!). This design also makes our campers insanely easy to open and close. No hugging or pushing wet canvas from the outside—manage it completely from the inside!

Unrivaled space to weight

It's not magic. It's years of obsessing over every pound while refusing to shrink the interior. Do the math on space-to-weight, and you'll see why we're not shy about putting our numbers next to anyone else's.

  • The weight Asterisk

Most published weights are a convenient lie with an asterisk - "dry weight," "base unit," "without options." Put one on an actual scale and you'll find a number nobody advertised. We know, because we've done it.

  • Wear and Tear

That hidden weight isn't just dishonest. It's suspension wear, blown payload limits, and a truck that handles differently on canyon roads than it did before you loaded it. Heavy campers are slower up grades, harder on your drivetrain, and harder to get places worth going.

  • Scales don't lie

OVRLND campers are weighed. Actually weighed. No asterisk. No footnote. The Bivy starts under 220 lbs, the Slim under 265 lbs, and the Chubby under 310 lbs — hardware, canvas, latches, all of it. For a full-standing pop-top, those aren't typos.

My Ovrlnd Camper works fantastic for us. The overall build quality of
the camper is extremely solid and beefy, yet the overall weight is
minimal. Canvas material is high quality and impenetrable. It’s also
tight and quiet even in high winds. Would not change a thing.

Couldn't be happier with my camper and the folks at OVRLND are amazing.
If you are on the fence between OVRLND and another company, pick OVRLND!
I'm so impressed the craftsmanship and the customer service and
everywhere I travel people ask are so impressed by the durability,
versatility and lightweight of this camper.

Jay and Maggie and the OVRLND crew are amazing! We’ve had so many great
adventures in our camper over the last several years. It’s done just as
well in the desert as it’s done in a blizzard in Wyoming in December.
It’s actually time to upgrade to a larger truck, and we’re already
excited to order our next camper from them too!

As a former GoFast Camper owner I could not be happier with the switch to OvrLnd. We opted for the new Chubby version on our 5ft bed Taco and the added space has been incredible. We have had the camper on trips in wind, rain, and cold temps and it has
proven to be an excellent shelter from the elements. Zero water intrusion and minimal wind noise even in extreme winds. From start to finish the level of customer service as well as the top tier quality of the product has left us overly impressed and stoked with our choice! Thanks again OvrLnd crew!

Built to be used and abused

Cheap materials and fast builds catch up with you eventually, usually somewhere inconvenient. We spec the best materials we can find, build slowly enough to get it right, and stand behind every camper that leaves the shop.

  • Materials That Earn Their Place

We don't spec materials by cost. We spec them by performance. Every component from the canvas to the hardware to the adhesives was chosen because it's the right call, not the cheap one.

  • Repairable Anywhere

Quality means nothing if a single broken part sidelines your rig. Every component on an OVRLND camper can be sourced and repaired anywhere in the world. We build for the long haul. Literally.

  • Weatherproof Without Compromise

PVC canvas. Sealed seams. Hardware that doesn't corrode. We've tested these campers in blizzards, desert heat, and sustained highway wind. "Weather resistant" wasn't good enough... we built for weather proof.

OVRLND vs The Rest
We let the details do the talking.

The Others
Build & Craft
Hand-built in the USACut, welded, glued, sewn & riveted in Flagstaff, AZ
We are that fridge or washer from 30 years ago you wish you could still buy.
Bolted together from overseas extrusions, "industrial design" is a fancy way to say built faster and cheaper.
Custom-fit to your exact truck bedYours fits yours. End to end.
Fewer sizes, loosely matched. (That gap at the tailgate isn't a design feature.)
Free installation includedProperly fitted and sealed at the shop
Varies, and "some assembly required" hits different at $10K.
Most configuration options on the marketMore ways to build it your way than anyone else
Pick a size. Maybe a color.
Best entry price in the categoryBivy starts at $7,700. All You Can Eat Starts at $8,700.
From $7,700 / $8,700
They might look cooler, but they cost more, weigh more, and probably have less space.
Locally sourced materials where possibleWe spec American when we can... not because it's easy, because it's right.
"Sourced Globally" is a pretty fancy way of saying "we don't care where it's from as long as it's cheaper for us to build."
Extra Height CaboverWe can build the bedding section taller. More standing room, sitting on the bed room, and bedding storage room when closed.
Slow down production to build a better camper.... our investors wouldn't like that.
Weight & Performance
Published weight is the actual weightNo asterisk. No "dry weight" footnote. We put ours on a scale.
✗ See footnote.*
Best space-to-weight ratio in the categoryMore room. Fewer pounds. Do the math.
Unmatched
Great ratio - if you trust their math.*
Lightest full-standing pop-top on the marketAll You Can Eat starts under 265 lbs. Bivy under 220 lbs. Both actually weighed.
Heavier than advertised, harder on your truck, and slower everywhere it counts.*
Weather & Durability
PVC canvas - Truly waterproofNot "water resistant". Not "breathable" garbage.
Lightweight fabrics that look great until it's raining.
Canvas sealed top to bottomAttached totally exterior to the interior. Water stays on the outside.
Those front corners and seams really shouldn't be leaking.
Flapless tensioned canvas - silent at speedQuiet through 60+ mph mountain pass winds
Thin, loose, and auditioning for a percussion solo in the wind.
3-year warrantyWe stand behind what we build
3 Years
1–3 years. Customer service is what counts.
Ownership & Support
Repairable anywhere in the worldBuilt so well you probably won't need to, but if you do, any hardware store probably has the part.
Proprietary parts. Great for them, not so great for you in the middle of Baja or in 4 years when that model or part is no longer made.
Real humans answer the phoneJay, Maggie, and Jon pick up the phones
Ranges from "surprisingly good" to "please submit a support ticket."
Pioneered the straight-wall pop-top categoryNo one was building the camper we wanted, so we built one.
