The Original.

We’re not just another name in the game; we’re the original. When we launched the first full pop-up camper shell on the market, our goal was simple: build the lightest, most spacious, and toughest camper we could. We've grown since those early days, but our original campers are still on the road, being used around the world. Our team pours passion into every camper, using top-quality materials to make sure they’re built to last. Even with more competition out there, people keep coming back to us for our standout quality and the friendly customer service that’s been with us from camper number one.

ABOUT OUR DESIGN
OVRLND Camper interior that customer has built out.

Lightweight. Tight Fit.

Using your truck's bed measurements we are able to build an extremely tight-fitting camper. This approach maximizes space while limiting exposure to low hanging branches on narrow trails.

Our truck campers are the lightest on the market, they can weigh under 265lbs* and are built specifically for your truck, making each camper shell a nimble overland tool that is sure to make any road feel like home. Load your truck with gear without stressing about your payload.

Full Size Queen Slide Out.

Our pop up campers come standard with a 80" long and 60" wide (minimum) collapsible bed platform. With the bed extended there is always enough room to hop down for the midnight bathroom break without waking your partner. With the bed collapsed, someone can take a cat nap up top on the bed while someone else has room to cook below.

More Room. More Fun.

OVRLND pop up camper shells are huge inside. With a standing height of over 6'5", this camper is made to store all the adventure equipment you have. Keep the fun going and easily have your campsite friends over for a rainy day meal.

With vertical walls and a straight up pop, you gain tons of room over wedge style camper shells, allowing you to maximize your gear storage and sleeping areas.

The campers are built to fit your truck specifically, so there is no wasted space. They clamp straight to the truck's side rails, so they don't take up any valuable
real estate like a slide-in camper.

Constructed For Abuse.

Our camper frames are welded aluminum tubing, with aluminum skins glued to that frame, and aluminum trim pieces glued, riveted and screwed to the skins and frame. The same techniques used on 50+ year old travel trailers, 1,000,000 mile semi trailers, and decades old campers that are still on the road today.

What does this mean?

It means these campers are built to last not just a couple years, but decades while also taking a hit. Not only that, they are repairable with easy to source materials should you need to fix something on the other side of the globe.

We see lots of new products that look prettier and sleeker using "industrial" manufacturing techniques. All this means is it's easier, faster and cheaper for them to build with no guarantee as to how long it will last. Inevitably making it harder for you to source a crucial part should it break or be discontinued.

Half Barn Doors.

Barn doors make it easy to get in and out of your camper. They offer utility and easy access, and unlike a conventional flip up camper shell door, the 270 swing away barn doors allow you to stand on the tailgate before entering the camper. Full barns doors can be self installed with a kit.

Windows Anyone?

Unlike other manufacturers, we can place several different kinds and shapes of windows anywhere you want. We have pass-through front windows, large side-slide windows, rear windows, and specialty Arctic Tern windows available in almost any configuration.

Highly modified OVRLND pop-up camper shell on GMC truck. Customer has done a number of modifications for cooking and camping.

Unlimited Modification.

The interiors of OVRLND camper shells are left uncovered giving you infinite room to add anything you want. Vertical walls and a visible frame structure make it easy to mount accessories inside and out. There are side extruded rails mounted inside made specifically to take a bolt, so go ahead, mount anything anywhere.

  • You want to make it a winter camping dream? Add some insulation.
  • Do you want more storage? Add some shelving.
  • Do you want a place to cook? You can easily add a hinge and make a fold down counter top.

Nothing stands in the way of you making the OVRLND pop top camper shell yours.

Custom built flatbed pop top camper for callssic truck.

True Custom Fit.

We are able to modify some dimensions per your request allowing clearance over racks, more standing room, or giving you more bedding storage room.

Flatbed campers, service body campers, and more are possible with our customizable design.

  • Barn Door Halves.

Barn doors make it easy to get in and out of your camper.  They offer utility and easy access, and unlike a conventional flip up camper shell door, the 270 swing away barn doors allow you to stand on the tailgate before entering the camper.

  • Extra Bedding Height.

Whats the point of getting a camper if it's only marginally better than a ground tent? We offer 8" and 10" cabover heights, which allow for 5" - 7" of stowed bedding when the camper is closed. Elimate the camp shuffle and leave your bedding up top!

  • Ultra Lightweight.

This is the lightest pop top camper shell on the market! Midsize campers start at 265lbs and Fullsize at 300lbs.

  • Near Flapless Canvas.

Unlike most truck camper manufacturers, we tension the canvas as we install it. This means you don't feel like you're sleeping in a ground tent when you set up camp on top of that windy mountain pass.

  • All Weather Canvas.

Our Canvas is PVC coated polyester fabric. This stuff is waterproof and is what is used on rafts. How many "breathable" raincoats have you had that stayed waterproof? This stuff is robust, and will keep you dry when all hell breaks loose.

  • Self Folding Canvas.

When you go to close the roof, the canvas comes in with it! This might seem silly, but imagine when you go to pack up camp and it's dumping rain... do you really want to go outside and hug your roof top tent or wedge camper canvas to pack it up?

  • Vertical Walls. Vertical Pop.

Maximizing camper space is important. You're getting a ultra lightweight camper to make camping better. Will you be in the camper all the time? No, but when you are in it, you'll be pumped you don't have to crawl over your partner or rearrange anything to cook, change clothes, or hop out of bed for your midnight pit stop.

  • Wall On Frame Construction.

Built like your house, our campers are all 1" wide tubing covered with side sheeting. What does this mean? Just like your house it's easy to insulate, easy to add counters, and easy to add walls, ultimately making it easier for you to customize your camper and make it exactly what you want it to be.

  • Repairability.

Our campers are built using all readily available materials. If in 10 years something breaks and you're living the beach life in Baja, you won't need a 5 axis CNC mill to make some proprietary part for your camper that the camper company doesn't even make anymore... you'll have to run the local hardware store and make something work until we can get you the OEM part. We're not building rockets here, we're building reliable campers.

Hand Crafted in Flagstaff, AZ

Every Camper is hand built in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Do we have our camper parts made overseas and then assemble them here? Nope.

Anything we can build in our 8000 sqft shop, we do. The campers, the doors, the lifting mechanisms, the sewn canvas tent. Everything.

Any items we can't make in house, we aim to support North American companies. Our composites, glass windows, canvas material, lift struts, and raw aluminum are all manufactured in North America.
