Want to "Make it Chubby"?

Our newest option for campers is to make them chubby! By this we mean widening the camper to give more East/West (side-to-side) sleeping and living space. This option adds 7" of interior space to campers. This option can be added to any of our base campers.

Features:

  • Increased Width - 7" of extra interior/exterior width
  • Bedding width (East/West) for midsize campers ~68"
  • Bedding width (East/West) for fullsize campers ~75"
  • Allows for more interior build out space

Limitations:

  • Weight increases by 30-50 pounds
  • Added wind buffeting/"whomping"
  • Added width is limiting on tighter trails, making tree/obstacle strikes more common
  • A tad more steering/driving/body roll
  • Barn Doors will not open 270 degrees (flush to the sidewalls of the camper). We're limited to 180 degrees of opening, but the doors will still latch securely so the wind doesn't swing them!

Should you Get a Chubby?

If you answer yes to any of the following, a Chubby might be right for you:

  • Do you have 2+ kids?
  • Do you have 4+ dogs?
  • Do you not care about hitting trees on tighter trails?
  • Are you going to be living in a camper full time?
