External Gas Struts

$120 for a set of four gas struts (+ shipping) 

Replacement or stronger gas struts to help lift the camper roof. If you've put a bunch of solar panels on the roof, a cargo box, frequently carry boats, or just have noticed the roof is more difficult to open than you'd like, then these are for you. 

To tell what strength you currently have, look at the label on the gas struts themselves and check the code:

• Ends in 3754- 20lb 
• Ends in 3516 - 25lb
• Ends in 3517 - 30lb
• Ends in 3600 - 35lb
• Ends in 4368- 45lb

A note on 60lb struts: Do not order these if you have not added considerable weight, or that weight is not constant (always mounted). These will make your roof VERY hard to close if it is not heavy enough to overcome the load. For example, these are suitable for a 50lb+ constant load on a insulated roof with a headliner and some wiring. It's all about striking a balance with gas struts. 

*** If you're one of the 100 or so campers that have the old style, welded aluminum lift panels this will not work on your camper. That retrofit is much more involved, but we can still help you out. Just shoot us an email.
